Going circular or transitioning to a circular economy is about reducing waste in how we conduct business, consume products, deliver services and other activities ideally up to zero. This means redesigning, reusing, recycling, remanufacturing all of the materials and items we use.
Why is the circular economy important?
Reducing waste helps reduce our carbon emissions, helping us fight the climate crisis. Aside from saving the planet, the circular economy can also help us save money, create jobs, and reduce clutter. All of this is part of Sustainable Development Goal 12 of the United Nations.
